1. Review: MyBlogGuest Premium

By: Allison Boyer, a freelance writer (@allison_boyer)

An awesome insight into what people can expect from our PRO membership and why it may turn useful.

General thoughts:

What MyBlogGuest premium essentially does via the article gallery is allow people to approach you when they want a guest posts, so you don’t have to spend time researching the blogs out there that might fit what you want to write.

Personal experience:

My experiences have been mostly positive. I’ve found that 99% of the time when I upload a new post to the article gallery, I have multiple offers for that post within 24 hours. Occasionally, a post sits in the gallery longer, and when that happens, I like having the option to suggest it to other users or post directly to blogs. Suggestions have worked out great. I have mixed feelings about posting directly to other blogs – when using this function, I’ve found that it’s a crapshoot. Sometimes, the person gets back to me, but just as often, I never hear back.

2. When Guest Posting Seems Impossible

Dana Loiz of Advanced Web Ranking Blog shares her story of what brought her to guest blogging and how MyBlogGuest helped her achieve her aims!

General Thoughts:

Aside from the fact that it brings together both sides of the blogosphere, My Blog Guest makes guest blogging easier. In other words, it gives you all the tools you need to perform on spot, all the actions required: from starting the conversation with your partners, negotiating the partnership, keeping track of your connections, writing the post or sending it to its recipient.

Personal Experience:

After joining My Blog Guest I began to see things clearer. I was able to understand what my options were, to make the needed connections and to get myself moving.

3. My Blog Guest – Hype or Monstrous Backlink Machine?

Alex of online video marketing company shared his honest experience with MyBlogGuest. It does work for link building only if you provide high quality!

General Thoughts:

Basically, My Blog Guest is a web service that lets you submit your articles to a database, and publishers who are seeking out guest blogs can view your articles and make offers on them for publication on their websites. My Blog Guest is very intuitive and easy to get the hang of after you’ve submitted a few articles.

Personal Experience:

In the past couple of months, my objective with My Blog Guest has been to publish about fifteen to twenty guest blogs a month on high PageRank, well trafficked websites. I can tell you that I have been very successful so far. I’ve been able to publish as many articles as I can possibly write, and I could get more published if I wanted to write more. Article turnaround has been really fast for me generally. I usually publish a few articles at a time, and I sometimes get anywhere from five to ten offers within a day or two on each one.

4. How I used Guest Blogging For My Startup

By Leo Widrich, co-founder of BufferApp – see BufferAll review on Sexy Social Media (@LeoWid)

Leo explains how MyBlogGuest be used to spread the word about your start-up.

General thoughts:

The amazing thing about guest posting really is the amount of people you will meet through it. This means either in the comments of your posts or simply the relationship with the person owning the blog.

Personal experience:

What is amazing about the site are the filtering functions. You can narrow down the search for your particular area and only get the most relevant spots.

5. My Blog Guest – A Review After Submitting 6 Posts

By Randy Pickard, owner of Internet Marketing Remarks (@randyatessites)

General thoughts:

The basic concept behind My Blog Guest is to provide guest bloggers and blog publishers a forum where they can connect. It offers is a win-win for guest bloggers and publishers. As a guest blogger, I reach a larger audience of readers by submitting articles that are made available to be posted by other blogs. Thus, it helps with reputation building, attracting visitors to this blog, and providing backlinks. For a blog publisher, My Blog Guest offers a source of unique content without the work of having to write your own post. Also, guest authors provide new viewpoints that can add value to a blog. A blog publishing a guest post may also benefit from the guest post author promoting the article to their social media connections.

Personal experience:

Among my six posts submitted to My Blog Guest, five found homes. Four of the published article are on blogs that have generated meaningful link authority. Also, one of the posts led to an offer of a regular guest posting spot on Search Engine People. The sixth post, which was the most commercial of the bunch, did not get picked up. I subsequently published it via the leading article directory.

6. 5 Reasons To Love MyBlogGuest.com

By Missy, owner of G34Media (@superblogga)

General thoughts:

One of the top reasons to love My Blog Guest is that it’s a very active community with many members. Although not every member contributes, many do and regularly. When you register a free account, you get to create a profile which includes a link to your blog sites along with a link to your social profiles. Depending on several factors, you get a power rating and this rating tells the rest of the community of your standing, sort of like a badge of experience and or skill set. One thing that is unique about your profile section on My Blog Guest is that you get to also include links to guest post articles you’ve written, which is great for showcasing content and or to gauge someone’s writing.

Personal experiences:

My only bit of criticism is that because the site is set up as a forum, it can (at times) be confusing to make out what goes where, as far as the different sections are concerned.

7. MyBlogGuest – Where Guest Posters and Blog Owners Congregate

By Alina Popescu, owner of Public Relations Strategy and Advice blog (@alina_popescu)

Alina shared lots of persona experience as a blog owner accepting guest articles.

General thoughts:

With TravelTweaks.com, I tried a different approach. Rather than waiting for people to come up with topics that I could approve, I used MyBlogGuest’s Article Gallery. This is a section where premium users post their latest articles. Bloggers accepting guest posts can then place an offer with an estimated publishing times, and the author chooses the outlet the fits best. In a few months I have published several dozen guest posts this way. I can do that with Travel Tweaks without looking like I have abandoned it only guest authors write there because this particular travel news site publishes 4-5 stories per day, features exploring certain destinations and the latest news in the travel and tourism world.

Personal experience:

MyBlogGuest has a great system to get great guest posters the recognition they need – a voting system for those publishing their work. You can thumb up or down a certain author, letting future blog owners know just how good they are. To filter out one time users that only want to trash someone or vote for them just for fun, this system is restricted to users that are active on the MyBlogGuest forums.

8. MyBlogGuest.com: A Blogger’s Review

By: Marc Mackenzie, who writes about checking accounts via BlogGodown

General thoughts:

The service is extremely easy to use and there is no division between the guest posters and the bloggers. The marketplace is divided for easy browsing, but if you have a blog and you’d like to write a few guest posts to increase exposure while featuring guest posts of someone else, it’s completely possible. The best part of the whole service is that it connects you to like-minded people for free, so you’re benefiting each other.

Personal experience:

In terms of providing a place for guest bloggers to have their content published and content providers to find content easily, yes it does. Of course there are always quality control concerns when you have a massive marketplace like this, as anyone can apply and type up anything in the hopes that someone else will publish it. The service does feature quality writers, but slogging through the multitude of blog entries to find them can be tiring.

Thankfully, if you find a blogger or guest blogger who’s work you like, you can bookmark them to find their articles on the site much easier. This makes featuring content from those you trust much easier.

There are many more reviews that are being published around the world. I am tweeting and sharing all I can find and I’ll be blogging them here as well:

As an article writer I have used MBG for over one year now. It has introduced me to many marvellous blog owners and has been well worth the time and expense. As you would expect with a large community there will be members who break promises and don't reply but you just have to move on and find the next blog.
Will be very interesting to see where it is in another years time.

The quality of the article gallery is very good. I belong to another guest posting service and the article quality is so low that all the sites receiving articles are loosing search visibility and authority. That's not the case with the service here.

Its like you read my mind! You seem to understand a lot about this, like you wrote the guide in it or something. I think that you simply can do with some % to drive the message house a bit, but instead of that, this is wonderful blog. A fantastic read. I will certainly be back.
