Guest blogging plugin contestBack in September 2012 we introduced our official guest blogging WordPress plugin that was aimed at making using our site much easier. It took us about 6 months of collecting feedback and introducing tweaks to make it both usable and non-intrusive.

Today, six months after the launch, we are proud to say that we are out of test mode and we invite all of you to use our plugin and win cash!

Win Cash for Using Our Plugin!

The rules are so easy:

  • Register an account with MyBlogGuest (if you haven’t yet)
  • Add your WordPress-run self-hosted blog
  • Download the plugin from inside your MyBlogGuest account
  • Start using it to make offers for guest posts and publishing them

Our API will track all the stats for 6 weeks and on May 6 we’ll announce our most active MyBlogGuest publishers in a few nominations:

  • $500 prize: Most active publisher (The one who published the most articles through our plugin);
  • $500 prize: Most active “interacter” (The one who actively promotes published guest posts on social media, replies to comments and interacts with the guest author. Feel free to use ViralContentBuzz to promote your guest posts!)
  • $300: Editor’s choice (Our moderators’ special prize)
  • $300: Contest promoter (Our special prize to the blogger who will spread the word about this contest)

Mind that our plugin works well with MyBlogGuest Direct as well as manually made offers.

Contest ends on May 6 – The earlier you jump in, the more guest articles you’ll be able to publish!

Here’s how to install and use the WordPress plugin:

Here’s our promo video – feel free to use it if you want to win the prize for promoting this contest:

Good luck!

I am going to give this a go on Webo. Have had one problem already though. I had WP Minify by Thaya Kareeson installed and the preview feature was broken (gave a php error). Had to deactivate WP Minify to get it to work. Maybe something to look into?

Another thing – I cannot see any details of links in the preview. I can see the author bio only. I am currently looking at “Caring For An Elderly Family Member Through A Home Automation System” by rich23 and the only link I can see is to a Google+ profile, so I assume that there is at least one in the body too.

It’s a neat plugin, and now even easier to use than the explanation video (auto-approve/reject on publish/delete etc).
    [P.S. Typo alert… “feel free to sue ViralContentBuzz…” πŸ˜‰ ]

Me again! Had an offer accepted, but clicking the button to download it into drafts did not work. I do have a whitelist for IPs to access wp-admin, could this be the problem? I did check the apache error log but did not see an error though.

Good catch! Wondering why it hasn’t been brought up before! There’s never too much testing πŸ™‚
I’ll try to have this fixed fast!

Oh – and I have a question – will you be tracking all users who already use the plugin, as well as those who only start using it now? Just wondering if I need to make an official entry for this contest in some way, since I will not be downloading the plugin now, as I am already using it πŸ™‚

This is a great contest! I honestly hadn’t known about the plugin until now and I’ve just installed it. I really like it so far! I don’t think that I’ll win, but it’s always nice to find new tools for my blog. πŸ™‚

It would be nice to have links right there in the instructions. E.g. the step “Download the plugin from inside your MyBlogGuest account” could be linked to the right page where user can download the plugin. Just a thought

the video tutorial doesn’t show which option to select in wordpress dashboard to add a plugin – the left side of the screen is cut out. A step by step instructions would be helpful.

I have used this plugin from the beginning. It was a mediocre start, but I am really digging this plugin now. Have installed it across several of my blogs now. It makes the regular content creation cycle much more efficient.

Good job with making this work easier for me, I was just thinking of adding the ability for people to publish guest posts on my blog, and you posted a list of must-have plugins just in time for me. Definitely having a look through all those plug-ins right away.
