If your social media manager doesn’t show ROI I would fire them – you need to be focusing on ROI, and it’s completely possible with social media. You can use relationship building to build ROI, but social media is not solely a networking tool. The fact that so many social media managers don’t focus on ROI is what gives social media a bad rap to some business managers, IMO.

Brainstorming and the challenge to create something unique are exciting to me, because I don’t have a creative history. I feel like I’m discovering a new side of myself. If two people are having a conversation about whitehat linkbuilding or anything SEO, I’m able to understand 75-80 percent of what’s being said, and I’d be thrilled for that percentage to grow. That’s why I love the Mastermind discussions. Before summer began, an SEO conversation would’ve sounded like pure Greek to me.

If you use only one link in the entire article, it is absolutely obvious that that is the purpose for the article. To drop the link. It looks unnatural and be darned sure that Google may see it that way too. Even more so if the article is too general with no real purpose or viewpoint. A crappy quality article with a dropped link will look bad no matter where it is placed. A little more effort really does go a long way. Lazy writing (or SEO work) will grant a lazy outcome too.

Provided that you have some reasonable statistics plug-ins on your blogsite, the best tests come from looking at which posts get read most. I know that seems flippant. But that is the “bottom line.”

your byline should be about you and not about motives for publishing the blog post in question. Especially because in many cases the motive is related to getting one or more topically-relevant links: that in itself is not an ignoble goal, but the author byline or biography is unequivocally not the place to be securing those links.

Thats another interesting thing we stumbled upon. This reciprocal sharing of quality content was happening already. It’s just that writers (for example) had no idea thats what you’re supposed to do.
Writers are so solitary minded to begin with. They needed a social platform to really get that A-HA! moment.
I’m happy to say that we have a TON of writers on Triberr, and they do get that A-HA! moment 🙂

Why tribes?
Relevancy. A mass article-sharing extravaganza would mean a lot of noise to sort through to find content worth sharing. By organizing bloggers into topic specific groups, every post from their group is already relevant to each member.
When you’re surrounded by relevant, quality content you naturally want to share and comment, which encourages reciprocity, and creates a close knight micro-community within the larger Triberr community.
