Quality Update on MyBlogGuest is Coming Soon: Blog Ratings at #MyBlogGuest

Category #MyBlogGuest Twitter Chat Posted by

There’s one huge problem with any user-powered platform: quality. The reason is obvious, low-quality always comes in large amounts and it’s just easier to notice.

MyBlogGuest is an established platform: We are more than three years old and we can safely state that we have a well-formed environment inside that has balanced itself. Yet, we don’t want to think we are not ready to change even though a change is never easy. Let’s see what we have been doing to protect you and what we are planning to do now:

Security

To protect you from fake offers we’ve been:

  • Verifying the ownership of all blogs which are being added to our system
  • Banning offending domains (if the owners are reported for sneaky behavior like adding nofollow or removing the links. Luckily, thanks to our built-in backlink tracker we’ve been very fast to ban any offending behavior).

7 Free Guest Posting Cheatsheets for Bloggers #MyBlogGuest

Category #MyBlogGuest Twitter Chat Posted by

We are well aware of the fact that we have to deal with quite complicated concept and tools. There are too many questions we are trying to answer at MyBlogGuest: How to make the community useful? How to balance quality and effort? How to explain what’s quality? etc

We have been working hard to create various free guest blogging tools as well as various ways to make our common task (i.e. achieving mutual benefit) easier to grasp. While struggling with that, we have come up with a few infographics and cheatsheets that can make guest authors’ and bloggers’ lives much easier:

  • Use the infographics as reference for yourself;
  • Use the infographics to explain the concept to your clients or boss;
  • Use the infographics to give away to your team members or freelancers for them to better understand what you need.

Here you go:

Announcing Free Image Collection at #MyBlogGuest

Category #MyBlogGuest Twitter Chat Posted by

***First two important announcements: (1) We have slightly updated our TOS to better explain blogger-author relationships and (2) We have added official content policies: We don’t want you guys to be affected by any inappropriate content which makes it to the web. Please see the updated content policies here (make sure to login).***

We have been always advocates of visually-enhanced content: Images make an article user-friendlier and more interesting. Images also make it easier for an article to go viral on social media (especially image-based networks like Pinterest).

So the benefits of using images in a guest article:

  • Make a guest post more appealing: If the blog owner likes it, he won’t reject it!
  • Make your guest post a “like” and “pin” magnet (which means more traffic and visibility to you and the blog)
  • Send better “quality” signals to Google through social media shares and likes.
